Crafting For A Cure is a company that was created to raise money for The Hospital for Sick Children, specifically the pulmonary department. We plan to:

1. Re-design the lung playrooms
2. Supply crafts for all children to craft with
3. To raise money to find a cure for Chronic lung disease

Daniel's Story - written by Daniel Age 7
There was a doctor, who checked a boy called Daniel. To get to the hospital my mom had to drive. When we arrived at the hospital we had to check in.

Well do you know why I’m going to the doctor’s, it’s because my lungs are sick.

After we signed in I had to wait until we could go to the breathing test. It checks how much air goes into my lungs.

Well, sometimes I have to have x-rays of my lungs so I have to take off my shirt.

I’ve had to take lots of tests to try and fix my lung problem.

I had to drink ”chocolate milk” so the people could watch the milk go through my tummy.

I had to go into a “donut machine.” I had to lie still for this test. This one also checks my lungs.

I had to have an operation to take “gunkies” out of my lungs. The best part of this operation was playing playstation all weekend.

Sometimes I have to go a room where they take blood out of me. I don’t like blood taken out of me. Because sometimes it hurts.

I take all the tests but my lungs are still not better.

The doctor said I can go outside because in the winter I’m not allowed. He said my lungs are looking better – but not quite perfect.

When I’m at home, I have to take my puffers at night and at morning.

When I get sick my Mommy and Daddy have to “cup” me. I don’t like it when I have to get cupped. However I love it when my Dad tickles me. I think it works better than cupping.

I don’t like being sick because not really anyone else in my family and friends get sick. I get sick a lot of times.

My Mommy told me I’m special because, G-d made me sick so that when I grow up I want be a doctor. Not just any doctor – a doctor that helps kids lungs get better – so know one has to be sick again!

The End!
